Job Position – Butcher

We’re always keen to hear from butchers who may be looking for a new challenge and a chance to progress their career. We require at least 1 year of experience butchering meat, and a strong knowledge of meat products and food safety. We’re looking for someone who takes the initiative to help decrease any risk to the health of our customers.


  • Work with meat and other food products.
  • Working in a chilled factory environment in the involvement of skinning, processing, and packing of wild venison.
  • Cutting, trimming and preparation in the meat production process – Maintain Health & Safety, Hygiene and Food quality standards
  • Working as a team to ensure the production runs quickly and efficiently
  • Help during changes on the line, learning new skills as required – work on different areas where required
  • Comply with all company procedures and codes of practice to ensure a safe and hygienic workplace
  • Cleaning of the line, machinery, and equipment when necessary. Our perfect Butcher will be happy with the manual handling of animals, raw meat and working in a cold environment.

The rate of pay depends on skill level, skill level is assessed based on block test.

The start time is 7am until finish, 3.30pm out of season (March-September) and 4.30pm during the season (October-February).
